Regarding the removal of pictures (pics): I made it possible for parents to remove items that are not available to him. Prior to this it was reported that Nicholas would have violent meltdowns because he had to be told “no” either because:
1) the item was not available
2) they didn't want to give him what he wanted when he made the request (candy before bedtime) or
3) he would continuously ask for the same thing again immediately after receiving and finishing the desired item (after he finished his lollipop, he would ask for another, and then another and Mom felt she had to give them to him because she didn’t know what else to do)
After consulting with the behaviorist Monica, we agree that in order to minimize the times he is told "no" as it seems to be a trigger, Parents/family should be able to remove the items ahead of time.
